Nia Ali was one of the early favorites in the 100 meter hurdles, and is third in the world at the distance this year.
However, the championship did not turn out as she had hoped.
Already in the trial race she smoked, after falling at the ninth hurdle.
- I was looking forward to putting on a show for the audience, so it's very unfortunate, she says to SVT Sport.
Ali missed the Olympics after becoming a mother, and now has her sights set on the WC next year.
- That's what makes me hold it together right now.
All I can think about is getting restitution for that case, she says.
