The first half was not much to write home about and was uneventful.

The second half was considerably more dramatic.

After just over a minute of play, Jacob Bergström, who played his first game of the season after a serious concussion he suffered in a practice match in January, walked into a billboard with his head.

The impact was so bad there that Bergström had to be replaced.

Ugly tackle

The drama continued when Degerfors' Joseph-Claude Gyau was sent off in the fifty-fifth minute after putting both soles in Jesper Gustavsson's legs.

Despite that, Degerfors managed to make it 1-0 after new signing Dijan Vukojevic put the ball in from just outside the penalty area.

Mjällby turned.

However, the last word was not said.

In minute 85, Silas Nwankwo was able to head the ball in after a misunderstanding in the away team.

Three minutes later he played forward Noah Persson who pushed the ball into the roof of the net and set the final score at 2–1.
