The fact that Pyramids participated in place of Al-Ahly in the African Champions League

The Egyptian Football Association revealed the fact that Pyramids could participate in the place of Al-Ahly in the next edition of the African Champions League competition.

The Football Association confirmed that it sent an official letter to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) on July 10 to determine the four Egyptian clubs participating in the African Club Championships next season.

And the Football Association said in a press statement: “The speech included the nomination of Zamalek and Al-Ahly clubs to participate in the African Champions League, as well as the nomination of Pyramids and Future for the African Confederation.”

He added, "Kaf did not ask to specify the criteria for selecting these clubs, and did not object to the choices, as it has been reported."

He continued, "The letter was sent to CAF on July 10, in the spirit of achieving justice and equal opportunities for all clubs, so that all of them have played all the first round matches."

And the Football Association concluded, “because if the clubs were determined according to the order of the league table on July 10, this would have been unfair to Al-Ahly because of the postponed matches for it, unlike the rest of the competing clubs.”

The Football Association announced earlier the participation of Al-Ahly and Zamalek in the African Champions League, and Pyramids and Future in the Confederation, according to the results of the first round of the Egyptian League this season.
