Sera Song of Korea won the gold medal in the women's epee at the World Fencing Championships.

It's her first gold medal in the women's épée in 20 years.

Sera Song, who is ranked 3rd in the world, faced N'Dolo from Germany in the final, and a fierce battle took place.

Sera Song took a 10-9 lead 40 seconds before the end, but Ndollo succeeded in counterattacking with 24 seconds left, and the two players eventually went into overtime with a score of 10-10.

In the one-minute overtime, Sera Song broke through like a lightning bolt and cheered for a dramatic 11-10 victory.

After winning the gold medal at the Barcelona World Cup in February, Sera Song, whose skills have grown rapidly, gave her the first gold medal in 20 years following Hyun-hee Hyun in 2002 in the women's épée, finally standing tall as the world champion.
