“The Sochi phenomenon was in conjunction with Fedotov and Noboa”

What are your expectations for the upcoming season?

- In recent years, predictability has been traced in the results of the championship.

And now, in connection with the sanctions, which have spread not only to the economy, but also to art and sports, the situation has become even more obvious.

The restrictions had a qualitative effect both on the end of the last championship and on the beginning of the new one.

This is the departure of legionnaires, and the lack of financial conditions for a number of teams.

Therefore, the champion will be a club that shows stability, and the coach has no problems with transfers and has the opportunity to build a team based on his principles of organizing the game.

I'm talking about Zenit and Sergei Semak.

Plus, the team is protected from double standards and refereeing mistakes that are present in domestic football.

So there is no intrigue?

- It is not in the fight for the championship.

Previously, teams still claimed European cups, but now they are not.

Therefore, there is no motivation for foreigners to perform in Russia either.

And we see the reverse process.

The departure of Fabian Balbuena, I think, will now largely affect Dynamo, which in the last championship was very close to competing with Zenit in terms of the quality of football.

Matches that took place between the teams confirmed the good potential of the blue and white.

- However, they failed the ending of last season ...

- And here it's not about cataclysms, but about Sandro Schwartz.

We, of course, give him his due, including me.

But unsuccessful matches are the mentor's problem.

In our time, the coach lost, and the team won.

But today no one wants to agree with this thesis.

I am not criticizing Schwartz.

It's just that he failed to distribute the strength of the team for the entire championship and solve the problems with the squad.

- Can any of the clubs compete with Zenit?

- I liked Sochi last season.

But, unexpectedly defeating Dynamo and becoming a silver medalist, they eventually lost two leading players in the middle line - Mateo Cassierra and Rodrigao, as well as a coach.

The phenomenon of the team was that the breeders did a good job.

As a result, we now see a demand for those who made the weather.

Plus, the atmosphere in the team also influenced.

Vladimir Fedotov acted as the director in the locker room, and on the field there was a great conductor who decided questions on the quality of the game.

Are you talking about Christian Noboa?

- Yes, I consider him the best RPL player of the past

, about the season, and a bunch with Fedotov is phenomenal.

And this is very familiar to me.

In 1966, the USSR national team took with them to the World Cup five players from the Kyiv Dynamo base at once.

Then we, the young, had the opportunity to replace them, and we succeeded.

The team was led by the great Viktor Maslov, who managed to become a champion almost as a backup team.

And Andrey Biba, an experienced captain who acted as a playmaker, entered the field.

And this phenomenon reminded me of the time when the brilliant ideas of the coach on the field could be realized thanks to Biba.

This time around, creativity, tempo, speed, shifts of emphasis and rhythm were all created by Noboa.

- Big changes in other clubs ...

- Lokomotiv has a new coach, the team is being restructured.

CSKA has the same problem as a competitor in the fight for medals.

At Spartak, none of the specialists who worked and achieved any result with the red-and-whites, including Paolo Vanoli, and you can start with Massimo Carrera, could not consolidate what had already been done, did not develop the principles laid down further.

And this led to a series of resignations.

You need to understand: a new mentor comes with his own requirements.

Players need to understand what they want from them.

And it is important for a specialist to avoid a contradiction between the capabilities of athletes and his vision of how the team should act.

Hence, there are fears whether this time the leadership of Spartak will have enough patience not to turn again to the next candidate.

There is such a possibility.

Still, for foreigners, difficulties are added due to ignorance of the language, mentality, and our championship.

I remember Nevio Scala, an amazing specialist who headed Spartak.

When I asked what the difficulties were, he said - the mentality and the lack of unity between the leaders of the club and the head coach.

And this is one of the main conditions.

The CEO, the president, his wife - everyone should be like-minded.

And there is nothing scarier in any sport and art when you are led by an amateur.

Therefore, you should not expect a quick result from Spartak.

“Karpin needs to separate the main from the secondary”

- So who will compete for the second line?

- Krasnodar stands out in this series of clubs.

There is the most traditional approach to team development.

This is how the work was built in the USSR, when there were duplicate teams and their own pupils, sports boarding schools, which we see in Krasnodar.

There is a full preparation.

The guys are brought up patriotism, love for the club, and most importantly, there is an opportunity to reveal the talent of children who cannot afford to train in paid schools.

At the end of the season at Krasnodar, we have already seen a lot of capable players.

Here, of course, it is very important that there be enrichment at the expense of more experienced performers, who would become a clear example of the attitude to work.

When there is a symbiosis, such a layer cake of young and experienced players, then the result is obtained.

Some have purposefulness, while others have a reasonable desire.

As for Rostov, with all due respect to Karpin, he has problems with the composition.

A lot of young people.

The club has a coach, but for objective reasons there are no high goals, because this also requires material.

With all this, he manages to combine, and this is very difficult.

And the situation worries me.

Are you afraid for the national team?

- Yes, Mikhail Galaktionov from the youth team also accepted the "Paris NN".

Here, again, the bifurcation of goals, time, and control begins.

Karpin in the national team, perhaps, did not solve the tasks set for objective reasons, but still showed himself at a fairly good level.

But the national teams don't have matches.

Maybe the desire of coaches to work is connected with this?

- But this period for national teams should also be used - to create a program.

For once, there is an opportunity to build a strategy for the transition of football players from youth to youth, and from youth to adult teams.

Create continuity.

This is one of the necessary conditions for development, which is still not there.

Of course, because of the sanctions, it is difficult to motivate the team.

Was at the last training camp of the national team.

Despite the fact that Karpin managed to create a certain understanding in the minds of the athletes, why they need it, they still had to shorten their stay in Novogorsk.

At that time, official matches had already been cancelled.

- And who should create the program?

Isn't the RFU obliged to set such a task for the coaches?

Again, this is my take on the situation.

In the early 1990s, I built my national team according to the star principle.

The best players were selected.

Like a mosaic, a team was formed, the average age of which was 23-24 years.

Aimed for the World Cup.

But the country collapsed.

Instead of the USSR, we became the CIS, without a flag and an anthem.

In this situation, it turned out to be very difficult to do something, although we did not lose to the world and European champions, we deprived Italy of the chance to reach the final stage of the tournament.

Then the country began to be called Russia, and the guys from the CIS team formed the basis of Spartak.

If a vertical is built between youth teams and an adult team, when coaches work according to the same methodology, principle, tactical scheme, although here we can say that the organization of the game itself is determined by certain criteria, then this gives a result.

Unfortunately, I talk about this a lot, but, as I understand it, it is a matter of attitude and understanding of what will happen in a couple of years.

The worst thing is if the sanctions end, and we will have nothing.

This is not an attempt to somehow offend Karpin.

He just needs to separate the main from the secondary.

Now we need to think about how to ensure the result in two years in conditions when there are no matches and nothing to prepare for.

- It turns out, another challenge.

- Yes.

And it worries me.

How to convey the idea to people so that the organization of work begins.

When I finished playing, I became the coach of the Kyiv Dynamo Sports School, then the head coach and director of the school.

The first thing I did was change the principle of teaching.

We did not go from simple to complex, but vice versa.

In particular, at the championship of the city they played with the guys a year younger against the older ones.

And thus our players were head and shoulders stronger than the others.

- Why do you think Karpin chose Rostov and not a top club, although they say there were offers?

- The situation in many teams is difficult.

I faced it.

And he is the specialist who managed to drop from Spartak to Armavir.

I remember when I came to him for training, everything looked high quality and professional.

We talked with him after class, and I said: "It's not scary to fall, it's scary not to rise."

It seems to me that this is his inner motto.

We see the risk that Karpin is taking: to take the national team, to try to lead Spartak.

And it is very difficult to work there when there is such an atmosphere in the team.

Does hysteria get in the way?

- No footballers, it does not allow the club to develop.

There is chaos around the guys and in the leadership.

- According to the Super Cup, is it already clear what Spartak will be like under Guillermo Abascal?

- It is difficult to judge a coach who has just arrived and has to play the match “from the wheels”.

This is not Semak, who has been working for four years and developing without any problems.

He has the support of the leadership, the opportunity to improve with good players and build a game based on his coaching creed.

But so far these are internal successes.

And "Zenith" in terms of capabilities is at the level of a European club, it can even be ranked among the giants.

Therefore, there must be special requirements for Semak.

The indicator of his viability as a coach is achievements in European competitions, and not a victory in our championship.

Speaking of the Spartacists, you need to understand that Abascal arrived when preparations for the season had already begun.

Now he meets the players.

Must build his vision of the team, taking into account the capabilities of the performers.

In the match for the Super Cup, he tried to compete with Zenit to win, the team was active on the field and limited the opponent.

It looked good.

So there is some perspective and understanding.

But the task of the coach in this match is still, probably, different.

He probably analyzed the meeting between Zenit and Red Star, saw the level and readiness of the opponent.

Yes, an unfair decision was made to hold a meeting in St. Petersburg, and the energy message in the stands was in favor of the blue-white-blue and inspired the players.

However, the means chosen by Abaskal indicated that Spartak needed significantly more chances to score a goal than Zenit, who only needed a few chances.

But how do you create them?

For the proposed tactics, it is necessary to distribute the forces of the players in such a way as to constantly maintain activity.

So after 20 minutes everything fell into place.

Hard work could not replace talent.

- Perhaps the fact that there was preparation for the season also influenced?

— I have already said about the objective reasons.

The question here is not that the team played tactically incorrectly.

She followed the instructions of the coach.

They were active.

It is clear that there was preparation for the season, the level of players is lower, plus the absence of Victor Moses, Christopher Martins, the same Samuel Gigot - experienced performers who would look more competitive than those who entered the field.

There were not enough forces in the middle line and in defense.

Here, objectively, everything was against Abaskal.

But we need to find other means in order to defeat Zenit even in such a situation.

Look for key factors influencing the situation on the field.

The chosen pace, the creation of numerical superiority in a certain area of the field, and much more.

I still have the moral right to talk about it.

The national team played more than 70 matches under my leadership, and the team suffered only a few defeats.

In the finals of the Olympics, the team from Brazil won, where world stars performed: Romario, Jorginho and many others.

“Agalarov needs to gain experience”

- Hamid Agalarov eventually moved to Akhmat, and none of the top clubs were interested in him.

Why?

- At one time I had a conversation about the assessment of Agalarov and Sergeev.

Whom to give preference to.

I thought that the attacker of the Wings of the Soviets was acting better.

Moreover, I went three times to the FNL Cup in Cyprus and saw these guys from Chertanovo, who flourished in Samara.

Sarveli, Glushenkov, Sergeev attracted attention.

Ivan is a front line player with a fine sense of the ball.

He plays combinations, knows how to interact with partners and has a good implementation.

As for Agalarov, he is an emotional young man.

I watched him as a teenager.

Hamid has good qualities, but matches in the domestic championship often do not provide an opportunity to determine the value of an athlete.

For some reason, everyone is fighting only for the transfer fee.

And I think that in this regard, we lack coaches-educators who reveal the personality of the players, their talents and abilities.

- That is, he is still not ready to play in a top club?

It will be difficult for him to compete with other players.

Today Ufa plays only for Agalarov, and he has good opportunities for improvement.

But in order to come to a club fighting for the championship, you need to acquire the necessary experience, enrich yourself with knowledge from communicating with experienced partners and realize many things using a good example.

Sergeev organically fit into the Zenith scheme, where midfield activity appears due to the Brazilian diaspora, and it is no coincidence that he lived up to expectations.

And for Agalarov it would be a big test.

- Sergeev, by the way, even ousted Artyom Dzyuba from the base.

“He has a completely different style.

We will not discuss Artyom, but he has a slightly one-sided game: hang, throw.

At our average level of football, it worked, he was in demand.

As for matches in Europe, this is all an empty phrase.

In meetings with Denmark and Belgium, he was not visible at all.

And for Agalarov, Akhmat is the environment where it will be possible to constantly enter the field, which would not be in the championship leading teams.

We saw this on the example of the same guys from Ufa who played in Spartak.

- That is, "Akhmat" is an opportunity to gain experience?

- I think yes.

I can tell by my own example that at this age it is important to save yourself.

I was 20 years old when I had to compete in Kiev "Dynamo" with three players from the national team.

And in order to achieve a place at the base, it was necessary to compete not with them, but with oneself.

Become the best Byshovets.

And I did it.
