Kaprizov has been accused of buying a fake military ID in 2017, something his father has previously openly denied.

The father has referred to the fact that Kirill Kaprizov was a student, which meant that he escaped the military.

But that exemption expired on June 30, writes The Athletic.

Although he signed a five-year contract with Minnesota Wild in September, the online newspaper writes that the Russian does not have a work visa in the United States.

During the pandemic, the country dropped that demand for many European players.

This has led to Kaprizov, who has recently been denied entry to the United States on two occasions.

The Athletic writes that he first tried to fly in via Dubai, without success.

He then returned to Russia and made another attempt by crossing the sea via the Caribbean.

Even that time it stopped.

- It's a scary situation.

We hope everything works out right, Minnesota Wilds coach Dean Evason told The Atheltic.
