Sweden has had a tough start to the junior WC in Madison, USA.

In the premiere, they fell to the reigning champion USA by 1-6.

This was followed by a 1-3 loss to Canada.

- I think we have recorded ourselves in the matches the longer the matches have gone.

We played better against Canada than we did against the USA, says goalkeeper Lisa Jönsson after the initial matches.

Against Canada, Jönsson had to tear between the posts.

In total, Canada fired 56 shots.

- It was very hard.

I was very sweaty but it's fun with matches like that too.

"Come up strong"

Against Canada, the hill Tuva Kandell was Sweden's only goal.

- I still think we did well.

There are two large nations that are difficult to meet, but I still think that we have come up strongly against them, she says and continues:

- Of course it is always fun to score goals, but we want to win the matches as well.

"Revenge craving"

In the last group match against Finland, the aim is now to take home the first victory in the tournament.

- We are hungry for revenge.

It is important that we come out and be involved from the start.

It is what we have lost a bit in the first matches that we conceded quick goals in the first period.

It's hard to play hockey uphill, says Kandell.
