The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy announced in a press statement that citizens and residents of Qatar will have the opportunity to host their families and friends during the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022™, which will start on November 21.

Thousands of fans from around the world are planning to travel to Qatar in less than six months, and stay with their families and friends from the residents of Qatar during the World Cup competitions, which will continue over 28 days in eight stadiums, in a version that is the most closely spaced in the modern history of the World Cup.

The Supreme Committee invites all fans coming to Qatar to attend the World Cup matches to submit their applications for a digital “Haya” card, which is considered an entry permit to Qatar, and allows its holder a set of benefits, including free use of public transportation on match days.

If the host does not wish to attend the matches, he will not need a Haya card when hosting his relatives and friends who hold match tickets from outside Qatar.

The Supreme Committee indicated that citizens and residents will not need a Haya card to return to Qatar if they travel outside the country during the tournament period.

One of the steps in applying for a digital “Haya” card is for the fan coming from outside Qatar to confirm his place of residence in the country during the tournament.

In the event that the fan coming from outside Qatar, the holder of match tickets, wishes to stay with family or friends, the host must register his housing units through the “alternative accommodation” page on the “Haya” platform.
