Raja calls for an urgent investigation into the “disastrous arbitration” for its match with Al-Ahly (video)

Morocco's Raja Casablanca sent a letter of protest to the Confederation of African Football (CAF), in which it stressed that the reputation of African football is at stake due to the "disastrous" refereeing of its match against its Egyptian host Al-Ahly (1-2) in the Champions League quarter-final first leg.

And Al-Rajaa said in his message, which he posted on his account on “Facebook”: “Raja Sports Club strongly condemns this arbitration farce, which will remain a disgrace in the records of African football and arbitration. The aforementioned arbitration award and ensuring the principles of fairness and integrity among all competitors.

He added, "The match between Al-Ahly and Al-Rajaa Club witnessed an arbitration farce by all standards, during which the (Congolese) referee John Jacques Ndala and the mouse (Algerian) referee Mahdi Obaid Sharif mastered the violation of the principles of equal opportunities and fair sports arbitration, by making unfair and unfair decisions, which harmed In the interests of please."

The Moroccan football pole listed the unfair decisions in “announcing an imaginary penalty kick through voluntary manipulation of the mouse point (video assistant referee, VAR) and disrespecting the rules of asylum for the mouse protocol, and the referee of the meeting and the referee of the mouse ignored the announcement of a red card against the player ( South African) Percy Tao, who intervened recklessly and violently against the player Mohamed Zuraida, and the conditional referee (petition) attacked the player Mohamed Zuraida, as he pounced on his neck without a legitimate reason, and the arbitration team did not return to the electronic line technique to monitor the second goal with questionable legitimacy.

The reputation of African football is on the line

And in a tweet on Twitter, Raja wrote, "Dear Confederation of African Football, Raja was not the only sportsman who was hit hard by questionable refereeing, the reputation of African football is on the line."

"It's time to act before it's too late. Yours faithfully, and we hope we don't have to read similar posts after the second leg."

Al-Rajaa accompanied his tweet with excerpts from the interaction of international media such as the French newspaper “L’Equipe” and the Spanish “Marca” with the mistakes of the Congolese referee Jean-Jacques Ndala, especially the imaginary penalty kick that he announced against Mohamed Al-Makazi.

The Algerian video referee, Mahdi Obeid, summoned the Congolese referee, Nadala, to review the shot, while the television replay showed that the ball was close to the hand of the Raja player.

But the surprise was that after the referee awarded the penalty kick, another replay was broadcast that did not confirm that the ball had touched the player's hand.

Raja Casablanca's official spokesman, Abdelilah Brahimi, confirmed after the match that his club had been subjected to a clear arbitration injustice.

He added in a press statement: "We will not give up our rights, and all the blame lies with the referee of the Algerian mouse chamber, Mehdi Obeid, after calculating an imaginary penalty kick."

He continued, "We had a fear before the match of arbitration, and we said about it an Arab-African summit that enjoys great media follow-up, and the referees will not dare to do anything, but unfortunately we have been wronged."

He concluded: "We will take what we see fit to defend our interests by the available legal means."

And Al-Rajaa published, on its official page on social networking sites, a picture that includes the referee of the arena, the assistant video referee and the director of the television transmission of the match, and considered them the stars of the Al-Ahly confrontation.

The two teams meet again next Friday in Casablanca.
