The International Federation indicated that the drawing of the lottery will take place during a ceremony at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center in early April, where 29 teams will be located out of 32 in the tournament groups.

And he continued, "The teams that have officially qualified to participate in the 2022 World Cup, and who occupy positions from the eighth to 15th in the monthly classification will be placed in Pot No. 2, and the teams occupying places from 16 to 23 in Pot No. 3, while Pot No. 4 will include the teams that occupy The standings are from 24 to 28, in addition to the two teams that will qualify from the two crucial continental matches (Asia - South America / CONCACAF - Oceania), in addition to the team that will qualify from the European play-off to participate in the 2022 World Cup.

Decisive matches

On June 13 and 14, Qatar will host the decisive match between the representative of the Asian continent and the fifth-placed team in the South American qualifiers to reserve the qualification for the World Cup, as well as the play-off between the fourth-placed in the qualifiers for the Confederation of North, Central America and the Caribbean (CONCACAF) and the qualified team from the Oceania Confederation.

The last team to join the World Cup will be decided at the end of the European qualifiers for the World Cup between May and June.

The drawing of the draw will start with the bowl of the first-placed teams and end with the bowl of the fourth-placed teams. Each bowl must be emptied before moving to the next one.
