Biathlete Elisabeth Högberg, who rode in the IBU Cup this season where she finished second overall, was given a free place until the weekend's World Cup final in Holmenkollen.
Shortly after she had landed in Norway, it turned out that the PCR test she took at Munich Airport was positive for covid-19.
- It was terrible to find out.
Especially when you do not feel anything, but it comes as a shock at the airport and you have to go home again, says Elisabeth Högberg to Östersunds-Posten.
The 35-year-old has not ridden in the World Cup since 2020. Her best place in the World Cup is an eighth place from the 2014/2015 season.
