Alli joins Van de Beek and Lampard, joins Everton

English international Dele Alli joined Dutchman Donny van de Beek and joined Everton on Monday evening from Tottenham on a permanent transfer deal, before the winter transfer window was closed, and a few hours after signing Frank Lampard to supervise the team.

After being one of the main pillars of Tottenham since joining him in 2015, Alli has found himself in the past few seasons broken since the departure of Argentine coach Mauricio Pochettino and did not enter the plans of Jose Mourinho and Nuno Espirito Santo or the current Italian coach Antonio Conte.

And local media reported that Lampard, who replaced the dismissed Spaniard Rafael Benites on Monday, stipulated a contract with the 25-year-old winger in order to agree to take over the task of supervising the team and try to save him from relegation to the second level "Championship".

Alli has only started in two matches with Tottenham since Conte arrived in the team in November, which prompted him to search for another team and the option was signed on Everton, who contracted with him for two and a half years in a deal whose financial results depend on his participation with the team (10 million pounds if he fought 20 matches in addition to conditional bonuses that may raise the value of the deal up to 40 million pounds).

"I'm really looking forward to getting started and looking forward to my first game with Everton," Alli said.

Before the announcement of the inclusion of the player, who played a total of 269 games for Tottenham in all competitions and scored 67 goals since his arrival in 2015 from Milton, Everton strengthened his ranks with Van de Beek on loan from Manchester United until the end of the season.

The Dutch midfielder moved to Manchester United in 2020 for about 40 million euros from Ajax Amsterdam, but he did not impose himself in the squad and played about 50 games, including 19 starters, over two seasons.

Van de Beek expressed his happiness at completing the deal, telling his new club's official website, "Now, I can say that I am an Everton player and I am very happy and I am looking forward to helping the team."

"I came here to help the team move up the ladder," the 24-year-old added. "I hope to put at the disposal of my new team my footballing skills through my passing and, of course, scoring."

Everton occupies sixteenth place in the league after losing 10 of its last 14 games, and also scored only 19 points in 20 games, which is the lowest percentage in the middle of the league since the 2005-2006 season, which prompted him to abandon Benites, who took over the task on June 30, 2021. Replacing the Italian Carlo Ancelotti, who moved to coach Real Madrid.

Lampard will return to training for the first time since Chelsea sacked him on January 25, after he was coach of the team that he excelled in as a player, since July 2019.

The main task of the 43-year-old who will go through his third training experience (he trained Derby County 2018-2019 season) , that Everton avoid relegation to the second level "Championship", as it is currently only four points separated from the danger zone.
