Bienfait pour vous

on Europe 1, sports coach Jean-Marc Delorme gave four essential tips for recovering well after physical exertion.

Rehydrate after exercise

After a good workout, it is essential to stay hydrated.

It is indeed necessary to recover the water lost during the training.

Indeed, during exercise, the body perspires to regulate its temperature and evacuate toxins.

You should drink, in small sips, up to 1.5 liters of water to compensate for the water loss.

Replenish your carbohydrate stores

After the physical effort, it is necessary to take sugar or then foods like pasta or a little bit of rice.

The objective is to promote the reconstitution of the energy reserves of the muscles and the liver.

You can also take protein if there has been muscle damage.

Sleep well to regain your shape

Sleep is particularly important after sports because it helps secrete growth hormone.

This hormone promotes cell regeneration and growth.

Conversely, a lack of sleep has repercussions on motor capacities and will lead to a drop in immune defenses.

Opt for cryotherapy

Cryotherapy is a technique that involves exposing yourself to extreme cold for a few moments.

We expose ourselves for two or three minutes to an extreme temperature, which can drop to minus 150 degrees.

Cryotherapy is ideal for high level athletes because the cold is anti-inflammatory.
