The Ski Nordic Combined World Cup was held in Austria on the 19th, with Akito Watabe in 18th place.

Nordic combined ace Watanabe is aiming to break the record for the Beijing Olympics season, alongside the record for the most Japanese athletes to win the World Cup last season.

However, this season I haven't been on the podium even once because I couldn't extend the flight distance with my favorite jump.

Round 8 of the World Cup individual was held in Austria on the 19th, and five Japanese players participated.

Of these, Watanabe stayed at 86 meters and finished 18th in the unfavorable tailwind of the jump in the first half of the normal hill with a hill size of 98 meters.

The 10km cross-country skiing in the second half started 1 minute 55 seconds behind the top players, but couldn't close the gap with the top players until the end and finished in 18th place.

In addition, Hideaki Nagai was 20th, Sora Taniji was 22nd, and Kodai Kimura was 27th.

Watanabe's younger brother, Zento, abstained on the way.

The winner was Jarl Magnus Riiber of Norway for six consecutive races, seven out of eight races this season.
