[Beijing Winter Olympics] The construction of the three Winter Olympics villages in the Beijing Winter Olympics is integrated into the "Chinese style"

　　[Commentary] On December 16, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee held a press briefing to introduce the latest preparations for the Winter Olympic Village.

Liu Yumin, director of the Planning and Construction Department of the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee, said that the three winter Olympic villages of the Beijing Winter Olympics have their own Chinese stories and are integrated into Chinese culture.

　　The garden landscape in the courtyard of Beijing Village fits in with the famous Chinese painting "Ice Play", which exhibited the royal palace ice sports more than two hundred years ago; Yanqing Village adopts the traditional Chinese courtyard courtyard form, and retains an old ancient courtyard in the core area. Village site: The site of the Olympic Village originally planned for Zhangjiakou Village was found at the site of the Palace of Prince City Palace built about 800 years ago. We moved the original site more than 200 meters to the east.

　　[Explanation] Liu Yumin introduced that the three Winter Olympic Villages of Beijing, Yanqing and Zhangjiakou have gone through a five-year process from site selection to construction completion.

Since the construction of the three Winter Olympic Villages, post-match utilization has been considered, and all three villages will be highly integrated with the post-match utilization plan.

　　Beijing Village will become a high-end talent apartment in Beijing after the game; Yanqing Village will be constructed and operated after the game according to the four- and five-star hotel model; Zhangjiakou Village will be rented or sold as a ski apartment after the game.

　　[Explanation] Liu Yumin said that there is another very important task in the preparation of the Beijing Winter Olympics, which is the cleaning of the venues and waste management.

For this reason, the Beijing Winter Olympics Organizing Committee has established a complete set of standards for waste removal operations, implementing "three competition areas and one standard."

The first is "full coverage of waste categories", which sorts out all waste generated during the competition.

The second is "full coverage of the management process", which implements full-process management of domestic waste from generation, placement, collection, transportation to treatment.

The third is "full coverage of the stadium area". The areas within the closed line of the stadium during the game must be included in the scope of classified management, and the waste inside and outside the closed loop is strictly distinguished.
