Lindberg met the Scotsman Hannah Rankin in London for the two vacant world champion belts in super welterweight (69.9 kilos) and lost on points after ten rounds.

The referee numbers (98-92, 97-93, 97-93) did not reflect the match picture, the Swede believes.

- I'm not at all okay with the result.

It was a tough match, but I and my whole team were sure I had won.

I'm so tired of hearing myself say this, haha, but I'm going crazy!

This damn boxing policy is so tiring, Lindberg says on the phone from London.

If you only look at the numbers, the match seems uneven.

Is it just about politics?

- Yes, definitely.

It was politics straight off.

Some rounds were pretty even and then it's easy to give them to her.

I get so terribly tired of this sport and it's such a shame because I love it.

I thought that this time it might be fair even though she had a home advantage, but then I will of course be condemned again.

It is simply not possible to win away from home.

"The question is whether I can ..."

44-year-old Lindberg is one of women's boxing's real veterans with 29 professional matches, of which 19 victories (10 KO).

She has now lost her last two matches, both of which were world championship belts.

How do you think about the future?

- I do not really know.

Before this match, all the focus was on the fact that I was "too old", but I really proved that I am not.

The question is whether I can gather strength again and right now ... no.

You put so much energy into it.

On the other hand, I love boxing incredibly much.

When do you make a decision?

- I have no family and no children who are dependent on my decisions so I can afford to be a little lax and not set a deadline.

Right where it is, a match offer will appear and then I will find out if there is a craving or not, Lindberg says and continues:

- I wanted to evaluate after this match if I am in the top of the world at the age of 44, but I proved that I do so I am incredibly proud of that.

You can not really feel that way in training, but you have to go through the tough matches to know.

Disturbed by visa problems

In her recharging before the match, Lindberg was disturbed by the fact that her two coaches had visa problems.

Lindberg arrived alone in London on Tuesday, was joined by her head coach only on Wednesday and her other coach did not arrive until Thursday evening after the weigh-in, barely a day before the match.

- Both applied nine weeks ago and it would take three weeks.

So it has been a bit of a panic to pull it off.

It sucks a lot of energy not to know if I need to find another solution.

It was quite turbulent.
