Xavi left Barcelona in 2015 to defend the colors of Qatar's Al Sadd before he later became its coach, after he carried the Catalan club shirt in 767 games and crowned him with the Spanish League title eight times and the Champions League four times.
Barcelona described Xavi as "one of the greatest midfielders in history, and he has helped redefine art with his creative mind, precise passing and remarkable ability to read the game", welcoming the return of the "absolute legend".
An informed source who accompanied the negotiations said that Xavi left Doha through Hamad International Airport, accompanied by Barcelona Deputy Rafa Posti and sports director Matthew Alemani, who oversaw the negotiations with Al-Sadd, in addition to his coaching staff and his family.
