On the final day of the Tokyo Paralympics, a men's and women's marathon will be held on the course in central Tokyo, and Misato Michishita, a visually impaired class, is expected to win medals.

Unlike the Olympic Games, which was changed to Sapporo due to the heat wave, the Tokyo Paralympics marathon started at 6:30 am and went to the national stadium to visit famous places in the city such as Kaminarimon in Asakusa, Ginza, and Kokyo Gaien. It will take place on a 42.195km course to finish.

As a countermeasure against the new corona, the Games Organizing Committee will assign about 100 patrol staff to call for refraining from watching games and avoiding crowding, and will also collect information on the occurrence of crowding from SNS and other media.

In the notable race, men's and women's wheelchairs, visually impaired, and men's arm-impaired classes compete for gold medals, while women's visually impaired class, 44-year-old Misato Michishita, aims for the gold medal.

Michishita won the silver medal at the last Rio de Janeiro Games and has since set a new world record.

In addition, 37-year-old Tsutomu Nagata, who is second in the world ranking in a class with a disability in boys' arms, is also expected to receive a medal.
