Toni Kroos retires from international football .. "Only Real Madrid"

Real Madrid's 31-year-old midfielder, Toni Kroos, announced on Friday his retirement from international football with his country, after the German national team was eliminated from the round of 16 of the European Nations by England (2-0).

Cross posted on his account on "Instagram" many pictures of him in the German national team shirt, including pictures from the ongoing European Championship, and pictures of the "Manshaft" crowning the 2014 World Cup title, and attached them to a lengthy message that said:

"I played 106 games with Germany. I won't play with her again."

He added: "I very much hoped to play for Germany, and I gave everything for the shirt again, and I reached to represent Germany in 109 international matches and win one big title, but the Euro will be my last tournament."

He continued, "I made a decision a long time ago to retire after this tournament. It has been clear to me for a long time that I will not be available in the 2022 World Cup."

He continued: "Basically because I want to focus completely on my goals with Real Madrid over the next few years, in addition to that, from now on, I will allow myself to have breaks that I have not had as an international player for 11 years."

He continued, "Furthermore, for me as a husband and father, I would also like to be present with my wife and three children."

And he added: "It was an honor to be able to wear this shirt for such a long time. I did so with pride and passion."
