Yoane Wissa was hospitalized following an assault. The FC Lorient striker was attacked at his home overnight from Friday to Saturday. A press release was published by his club on Friday morning: “FC Lorient learned this morning that Yoane Wissa had been the victim of an assault at his home during the night before being hospitalized urgently. Yoane is due for surgery today. The club, in shock, want to show their support for Yoane and his family and wish their player a speedy recovery. FC Lorient is counting on justice to convict the author of this attack, ”writes the club.
According to the Team, a mother came to her home Thursday afternoon to ask the player for an autograph for her son.
She would have returned to Yoane Wissa's house during the night and would have managed to get inside the house.
That's when she allegedly sprayed him with liquid, burning the player in his eyes.
This therefore required his hospitalization.
The Lorient prosecutor's office has announced the opening of an investigation.
