The reigning Wimbledon champion turned around and won the opening match against 19-year-old Briton Jack Draper.

- He did extremely well, says Djokovic about the opposition.

The world setter, who won the French championships earlier in June, has set his sights on joining Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal by taking his 20th grand slam title.

But it was a sweaty start for the Serb during Monday's first round.

Draper started briskly and won the first set 6-4, but then Djokovic hit back with full force.

The Serb won the second set with a clear 6-1 after breaking the British serve twice and then continued to dominate against an increasingly finished Draper.

The 256-ranked 19-year-old lost the remaining two sets 2-6.

- Considering that he went out on Wimbledon's main court for the first time, he has done extremely well, Djokovic says after the match.

- He is a youth and I have not seen him play that much before, but he plays well and has won matches against higher ranked players.

Swedish Rebecca Peterson was supposed to have premiered at 6 pm, but a rainstorm caused the match to be postponed.
