Quartararo imposes it.

Frenchman Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) won the Dutch Grand Prix solo, the 9th round of the MotoGP season, in Assen on Sunday and takes his lead in the world championship to 34 points before the summer break.

The one who established himself as the favorite for the title during the first part of the season took the lead in the 7th lap to never let go and now has 4 wins and 6 podiums to his name in 2021.

Zarco remains 2nd in the standings

Two Spaniards, his teammate Maverick Vinales, in pole position ahead of Quartararo, and the reigning champion Joan Mir (Suzuki), moved up from 10th place on the grid, accompany him on the podium, ahead of the other Frenchman Johann Zarco (Ducati -Pramac).

Portuguese Miguel Oliveira (KTM) finished 5th and Spaniard Marc Marquez (Honda) 7th after moving up from 20th place on the grid.

Summer break

During the break, we will also be attentive to the future of Vinales, which several Spanish media are presenting on their way to Aprilia thanks to their ups and downs with Yamaha.

This GP, contested in front of 11,500 spectators, was the last before the summer break.

The restart will take place with two races on the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg, Austria on August 8 and 15 in front of full stands.
