For the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, the Games Organizing Committee has created a support guide for volunteers that includes measures for infectious diseases and measures for persons with disabilities.

Approximately 80,000 Games volunteers are scheduled to participate in the Tokyo Olympics and Paralympics, and the Games Organizing Committee has been working with the Japan Foundation Volunteer Support Center to create a support guide that summarizes points to note about activities.



In the support guide completed this month, the "Pointing Phrasebook" will introduce examples of questions in multiple languages ​​and illustrations in order to confirm the location of the toilet and nursing room at the venue in advance and to respond to foreigners. Is included.



It also includes a response to the new coronavirus, calling for disinfection of hands and fingers before and after wearing and supporting masks.



In addition, because people with disabilities said, "I'm worried if the other person is wearing a mask," I made gestures for people with disabilities so that they could convey their feelings more. It is written to tell the other party that you are disinfecting.



The Games Organizing Committee says, "There are challenges in communicating while wearing a mask, but I would like you to refer to the support guide and make use of it."

The Games Organizing Committee plans to distribute it from the middle of next month.
