Leicester are further in the historic English Cup after a 3-1 victory against Manchester United.

And for the first time since 1982, the club has reached the semifinals.

- I'm very relieved.

We played bravely against one of Europe's best teams, we deserved the win, says Leicester's coach Brendan Rodgers.

The victory took "Foxes" after a huge mistake at the opening goal.

United short-passed around the penalty area after a kick-in, and midfielder Fred's pass to goalkeeper Dean Henderson became too loose - Kelechi Iheanacho broke and easily poked in 1-0.

- We want to build attacks from the back line, the players are safe there.

But sometimes it does not work and it did not that time, says Manchester United's coach Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.

Just before the break, Mason Greenwood equalized, but shortly after, Youri Tieleman's home team gave the lead again.

And in the final stages of the quarter-finals, Iheanacho decided with a nod on a free kick, and the Nigerian striker became a two-goal shooter.

He has now scored seven goals in his last four games.

"Lacked self-confidence"

3-1 victory for Leicester, which is on while Manchester United will focus on the Europa League and Premier League for the rest of the season.

- We did not have the spark tonight, and that is understandable.

Thursday night in Milan (win where United advanced to the Electric Quarter) cost a lot of energy, and we did not have authority and self-confidence today, says Solskjaer.

In the semi-final, Leicester will face Southampton.

In the second, Manchester City will face Chelsea.
