FC Bayern defended their lead in the Bundesliga with a sovereign 3-1 (2-0) at Werder Bremen.

The never endangered victory was already the 25th undefeated game of Munich against Bremen in a row.

In the Weser Stadium at home, Werder has been waiting for a home win for almost 15 years.

This time too, Bremen were miles away from a threesome in their own stadium.

Bayern celebrated their 18th victory this season in a gentle cycle.

Leon Goretzka (22nd minute), Serge Gnabry (35th) and Robert Lewandowski (67th) scored the goals for Munich's at least one class better.

Niclas Füllkrug scored for Werder (86th).

Lewandwoski's 3-0 win was a historic hit.

The striker scored his 268th goal in his 345th Bundesliga game and tied with Klaus Fischer in second place on the all-time goalscorer list - but Fischer played 190 Bundesliga games more (535) than the Pole.

Now only Gerd Müller is left with 365 goals in front of Lewandowski.

At the bottom of the table, however, the lights go out more and more at FC Schalke 04.

The bottom light came at VfL Wolfsburg 0: 5 (0: 1) under the wheels.
