It is in SVT's series "Snöar in" that SVT's experts have met Swedish winter stars and talked about the details that will make a difference during the world championships.

On Wednesday, the cross-country WC started in Oberstdorf and one of the Swedish skiers who is there to chase medals is Ebba Andersson.

The 23-year-old star makes his third world championship and wants his first individual medal.

This after having previously participated in and won the relay in Seefeld 2019 and won a relay silver two years earlier in Lahti.

"Extra fun"

One of the championship's disciplines is skiathlon, a form of competition that Ebba Andersson appreciates.

- It is one of the most fun distances, I think, precisely because we get to tackle both classic and skate.

I do not really have a designated favorite as a lot for me is about day shape and type of course.

Then it will be extra fun to drive both parts, says Andersson.

Part of a skiathlon is to change skis, when you have to go from classic to skate.

- It is an exciting moment and something that I trained a lot on before Lahti as I did not want to give up any unnecessary seconds as I did at some point last season.

I did not make a mistake, but still I had my back for a number of seconds in front of me instead of me being in front of the others, says Andersson.

"I do not believe in that"

Fredriksson then asks if he can show how he did when he competed and if it might work for Andersson.

Fredriksson draws a pair of skis in the snow and shows how he would carry out the ski change - but Andersson is not happy.

- I do not believe in that, says Andersson before Fredriksson has had time to finish.

- I buy the rods, but otherwise ... no.

I still think I'll take this with me and we'll see how it goes, if you can sit and applaud yourself or not.
