With the snow-capped Sierra Nevada mountains as a spectacular backdrop, the match between Boston and Philadelphia kicked off just before 5 p.m. local time - on a specially built outdoor rink on Lake Tahoe's southeastern shore in Nevada, USA.

- Oh, it was beautiful, says Boston's Czech hat-trick star David Pastrnak to NBCSN about playing at Lake Tahoe.

- We enjoyed every second, as you could see.

Three goals in 99 seconds

Before the match, Boston had won all four meetings of the season between the teams - and it was another win for Pastrnak and his men.

The match's two Swedes, Philadelphia's defenders Robert Hägg and Erik Gustafsson, got to see how Pastrnak put his first puck in goal after just 34 seconds.

The Czech then scored one goal in each half and was able to score his tenth hat-trick of his career - and the second against Philadelphia this season.

After Philadelphia came back and turned 2-1, Boston began its crush at the end of the first period.

At dusk over Lake Tahoe, the team scored five straight goals, three of which in just 99 seconds at the end of the second half.

Philadelphia scored a consolation goal in the third period - but the match ended as it began - with a goal by Pastrnak and the final score was 7-3.
