Alexander Wennberg has found the goal again, after a couple of games without points.

The 26-year-old had before that scored in three games in a row.

Carolina went hard and ended the first period with two goals in just over 20 seconds - but Florida's chain with Alexander Wennberg, Jonatahan Huberdeau and Patric Hörnqvist made sure that Carolina could not be on the lazy side.

- After the first period we went back out, without panicking, says Jonatahan Huberdeau after the match, according to nhl.com

The Panthers lead their division

The 27-year-old Canadian scored three points - two goals and one assist - for Florida.

First, Huberdeau reduced to 2-1 in powerplay halfway through the second period.

A few minutes into the third, the collaboration between Huberdeau, Hörnqvist and Wennberg led to the equalizer 2-2.

Hörnqvist fit up to a quick attack and the goal-scoring pass to Wennberg came through a pirouette display from Huberdeau.

- That pass was the highlight for me.

It's been a long time since I saw him play so well, says Florida coach Joel Quenneville about Huberdeau's game.

At full time it was 3-3 and the match went to extra time, where Huberdeau put the nail in the coffin and became a hero by fixing the winning goal 4-3 after a solo performance.

The Panthers lead their division in the NHL, with 22 points in 14 games played.
