The presence of Rashid Ismail has aroused the attention of many in view of his young age and his skill in managing matches, as he said that he dreams of being the youngest referee to obtain the international badge. Rashid revealed to “Emirates Today” that his career with “hand whistle” began since the 2017-2018 season, Judging by the game's festivals.

He said: “The encouragement of the Game Federation and the Referees Committee was behind my success in managing my first referee matches for the arena, within the (Young Referee) project, which gave me the confidence of the graduation in managing the matches, starting from the Al Baraem tournament, then the junior, junior and junior, and even the youth league.”

He explained: “I was involved in playing the game since childhood, and coincidence led me to run matches at the Hand Festivals in 2017, as I was nominated by one of the coaches to the Secretary of the Referees Committee of the Federation, Yasser Selim, who did not hesitate after a while from my support and the realization of my ambitions, and to get involved in a project. (The junior referee) at Al-Ittihad, which was a first step towards my official match management.

He added: "The support provided by the Referees Committee was behind my acquaintance with the refereeing teams that run the game, which in turn provided support to me, whether in terms of advice or in how to make the right decisions."

Rashid Ismail drew attention to the names of referees who played a positive factor in giving his whistle the required experiences, and said: “Most of the senior referees cooperated with me behind my success in refining my talent and managing matches, especially the World Cup, Omar Al-Zubair, who I take as a role model for me, and I also listen well to the decisions he makes. Referees have more experience than I was when I was with them in managing matches, the size of international Muhammad Al-Nuaimi, Salman Abdullah, and Thursday El-Asher.

He concluded: “Despite my focus on the academic side, being a student in the 12th grade, and preparing to move to the university level, my ambitions in handball are great, that I will continue my path until I become the youngest government in the country to obtain the international badge, and walk forward to represent the state whistle in World Championships ».
