Still undesirable in the France team, and while he seems irreconcilable with Didier Deschamps, could Karim Benzema be tempted by a return with the selection that will play the next Olympic Games?

Europe 1 will question Karim Djaziri, adviser and close friend of the former Lyonnais on this issue.

His case leaves no one indifferent in the world of French football, and has been for years.

Star at Real Madrid, where he has scored more than 250 goals since his arrival in 2009, Karim Benzema has been deprived of the France team for more than five years, not having been called up to the Blues since his indictment at the end of 2015 in the case of blackmail with the sextape exerted on Mathieu Valbuena.

But for the former Lyonnais, wearing the colors of his country could still be possible ... at the Olympic Games.

Could such a scenario interest Benzema?

His advisor and close friend Karim Djaziri will give his opinion on the issue on Sunday in Europe 1 Sport.

Their common history dates back to the early 2000s. Between Karim Djaziri and Karim Benzema, Lyon's friendship continued in Madrid, and resisted the approaches of the greatest players' agents.

And if their relationship is less official today, it is still just as close.

A few days ago, Karim Djaziri notably confided that the 33-year-old striker dreamed of returning to OL to end his career there.

Reconciliation with Deschamps seems impossible

But the native of Bron could have another ambition: that of wearing the jersey of the France team again.

Not that of the world champions, therefore, so much he seems irreconcilable with Didier Deschamps, who did not digest to have been accused by Benzema of having yielded to "a racist part of France" after his non-selection at Euro-2016, but the one that is preparing to compete in the Tokyo Olympics this summer.

This team is in fact not managed by the same coach, but by Sylvain Ripoll.

And Benzema has the right to be called, unless the Federation considers that his status as an accused in the case of the sextape of Matthieu Valbuena, who will be tried in correctional, is a crippling obstacle.

So many burning questions that Karim Djaziri will answer on Sunday evening in Europe 1 Sport.
