Alhaji Jeng believes that Armand Duplantis is in a class of its own.

- I do not highlight any competitors right now because I think it is more about a "one man show" in this situation, says Jeng.

But there are more Swedish jumps in Düsseldorf.

- Khaddi Sagnia is up against Malaika Mihambo, the German who won World Cup gold in Doha in 2019. Khaddi has also been one who has taken steps last year.

Then she was the safety herself at lengths around 6.70 and got a very nice top at the end of the season when she skipped 6.90, says Alhaji Jeng.

Ran fast at 60 meters

The 26-year-old from Gothenburg seems to be able to break into the world elite after several injury-laden years and just slowed down with a huge result of 60 meters earlier in January.

- She has shown indications that speed is there, and that is important for a long jumper.

She ran at 7.26 just a few weeks ago - split third through the times of 60 meters in Sweden.

Khaddi will be very exciting to follow against the ultimate world elite.

But Sagnia is not the only Swede to look out for in the long jump pit during the winter.

- Tilde Johanson is a super junior who had a fantastic 2019. Then she went over and started investing wholeheartedly after the high school studies last year.

Then it took some time to find the right rhythm and training load.

So she will also be very exciting to follow this year.

The Athletics Gala in Düsseldorf is broadcast on SVT2 / SVT Play on Sunday 12.15-14.30.
