Expectations for Elias Pettersson were high ahead of the NHL season after two very successful seasons in the league.

When there were only two points in the first eight matches, the criticism came.

But the 22-year-old calmed down immediately.

Already in the home game against Ottawa on Thursday night, he was noted for two points, a goal and an assist, and in the return match last night, he repeated the feat.

Pettersson scored the 2-0 goal in the first period and then assisted until Brock Boeser's 3-0 goal at the beginning of the second.

Chain teammate Boeser scored two of the goals in the 4-1 victory.

- It is our task to come to the rink every day and produce and we do that now, Boeser says at a press conference.

Pettersson has now scored six points in ten matches.
