According to the announcement, of the remaining 39% of the entries, 25% will be generated through the Olympic qualifying competitions of each event, and the other 14% will be generated through the qualification ranking system of each event.
At present, seats for five events have all been determined, namely road cycling, track cycling, equestrianism, hockey and volleyball.
Another 10 international individual sports organizations restarted qualifying for the Tokyo Olympics.
Many competitions will resume in the future, including the World Championships of Handball, Softball, Sailing, Triathlon, Fencing, Gymnastics, Table Tennis, etc.
The International Olympic Committee also announced the qualifications for the 2022 Beijing Winter Olympics. There are 25 Olympic events and 13 Winter Olympics competitions underway, including 11 minor events out of the 15 major events of the Beijing Winter Olympics. Qualifications have been resumed, and the quota for the Beijing Winter Olympics has now generated 17%.
