  On the evening of the 17th Beijing time, Wang Xiyu once stated on personal social media that she would miss the Australian Open in 2021 because of the positive result of the new coronavirus nucleic acid test.

  In December last year, Wang Xiyu won the Australian Open wild card.

In preparation for the competition, she arrived in Dubai in December 2020, but tested positive before leaving Abu Dhabi for the competition in Melbourne.

  Wang Xiyu was born in 2001 and won the Wimbledon Junior Women's Doubles Championship, the U.S. Open Junior Women's Singles Championship, and the world's first youth women's tennis championship. In 2019, he entered the adult competition.
