Former Japan national football team Keisuke Honda has revealed his intention to leave Botafogo in the Brazilian first division league.

This was announced by Honda on his Twitter account on the 31st of Japan time.



34-year-old Honda left Vitesse in the first division of the Netherlands in less than a month last December, and then joined Botafogo, which is based in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in February.



Botafogo has played in 18 league games this season, scoring two goals.



Honda posted on his Twitter account "Leave Botafogo" in Portuguese, revealing his intention to leave the team.

Honda has participated in the World Cup as a representative of Japan for three consecutive tournaments up to the Russian tournament, and has been appointed as the actual manager of the Cambodian national team, taking command of the team while being an active player.
