Brazilian stars Igor Cornado and Wilton Swires led their team, Sharjah, yesterday, to finish the year 2020 in the Arab Gulf League summit, after they scored two goals to win 2-0 at the expense of its guest Ajman, during the confrontation that brought the two teams together at Sharjah Stadium in the 12th round.

With this victory, Sharjah raised its score to 29 points, maintaining the lead, achieving the ninth victory, while inflicting its guest the ninth defeat in the league, where Ajman's balance was frozen at only three points.

This loss further deepened his wounds and complicated his position in the competition's standings.

Igor Kornado scored the goal early, precisely in the seventh minute, taking advantage of a perfect pass from his colleague Wilton Suarez, while Suarez added the second goal in the 89th minute, from a penalty kick that was calculated in his favor after being blocked inside the penalty area.

Suarez raised his score to 11 goals in the top scorer in the league, while Ajman suffered several problems in its ranks during the match, as the team was affected by the absence of essential elements that could have made the difference against a large team such as Sharjah.

The "king" dominated the match and wasted many opportunities, especially from Igor and Suarez.

Although he was late with a goal without a response, Ajman tried to return to the match and adjust the result, but his attempts failed, due to the coherence of Sharjah's defense, and behind him goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani.

And Sharjah goalkeeper Adel Al Hosani saved his goal in the first half with a detective goal, from a ball that was hit by the force of the Brazilian Ajman player Gustavo.

The Ajman coach made substitutions at the start of the second half in an attempt to restore the team's balance again.

"Orange" threatened Sharjah's goal with more than one attempt, but it missed a good focus.
