The J.League soccer team has summarized the rules for promotion to J1 next season, and as with this season, it has been decided that only the top two teams in the J2 league match will be promoted.

In consideration of the impact of the new corona virus on the team, this season's J-League has eliminated the demotion from J1 and limited the promotion from J2 to J1 to the top two teams in the league match.

On the 15th, the J-League summarized the rules for promotion to J1 next season at the board meeting held on the 15th, and decided that only the top two teams in the J2 league match will be automatically promoted as in this season.

As a result, the playoffs by the 3rd to 6th place teams will not be held next season.

Next season's J1 will be held with 20 teams including the two promoted teams, and the bottom four teams will be automatically demoted at the end.

In addition, if the J-League Cup final scheduled for January 4th next year is canceled, it will not be possible to take enough rest period for the players toward the start of next season. I also decided not to set an alternative date.

In this case, both teams, Kashiwa Reysol and FC Tokyo, who advanced to the final, will win.
