Germany decides to continue sporting activity during the second wave of lockdown

German Minister of Health, Jens Young, confirmed today, Tuesday, that professional sports in Germany, led by the Football League (Bundesliga), can continue by applying the closure criteria related to the fight against the emerging corona virus, which will take effect from tomorrow, Wednesday.

 Young men said in a press conference today that with regard to infection control measures across the country, regardless of the type or stadium, sports competitions will be held behind closed doors.

He explained that professional sports will not negatively affect the capabilities of comprehensive tests, which he described as "very high", including molecular testing of the genetic material for the emerging corona virus.

Young men pointed out that the continuing sports competitions, coinciding with the closure of many stores, led to a wave of mixed reactions, but he described this as part of normal life.

Professional sports activities were suspended during the country's first closure last spring, but activity was resumed in May amid strict health standards, and now most of the major professional leagues are back and will continue, noting that the ice hockey league season will start on Thursday, and it is the only major competition that Not yet launched.
