Hungary's coach was infected with Corona virus the day before a fateful match

The results of the examination that the Hungarian national football team coach, Marco Rossi, underwent to detect the new Corona virus, was positive, and he will therefore not be able to lead his team in its fateful match against Iceland in the qualifying supplement for the European Cup 2020, scheduled for tomorrow in Budapest.

The Hungarian Federation of the Game issued a statement saying, "After several previous tests that came out negative, the last result of the examination that Marco Rossi was subjected to was positive."

He added, "He was separated from the players and members of the coaching staff directly," noting that the rest of the team underwent tests, all of which were negative.

Last week, the Hungarian Federation revealed that the assistant coach and compatriot Giovanni Constantino had been infected with Covid-19.

Rossi took over as coach of Hungary in 2018 and is seeking to lead him to participate in the European Cup finals for the second time in a row after 2016 in France.

The winner of the match between Hungary and Iceland will qualify for the European Cup 2020 finals, scheduled for the summer of 2021, to join the Group E teams in the finals, namely Germany, France and Portugal, title holders.
