A member of the UAE women's skydiving team, Sheikha Ahmed, said that she will jump today with the UAE flag from the highest pyramids of Egypt, at a height of 15,000 feet.

She indicated that the jump was scheduled to take place last June, but was postponed due to the health conditions associated with the Corona (Covid-19) pandemic.

In contact with Emirates Today, she confirmed that it has completed all its preparations and trained enough on this matter, stressing that it is not the first time that it leaps from this height, as it has previously made similar jumps at the same height, and it has been done in a distinctive and successful manner.

She added: I arrived in Egypt yesterday from the Emirates, in preparation for the implementation of this leap that I have been planning for a long time, and for me I am proud to raise the flag of my country, the Emirates, at the highest peak in the Egyptian pyramids.

She indicated that she feels very happy, that her dream of jumping from the top of the pyramids of Egypt, specifically the pyramids of Giza, will come true and become a reality after a long waiting period over the past months.

She explained: "For me, I am very excited about this jump, and I have great confidence that I will implement it in the best possible way, especially since I have been continuing my training regularly throughout the past period."

She revealed that the parachute used in this jump has all the safety and security factors and measures available, stressing that it will benefit greatly from its previous experiences and experiences through its multiple participation in international and local competitions and tournaments, during which it achieved distinguished numbers, noting that it has carried out several exercises in the Margham region In Dubai.

It is noteworthy that Sheikha Ahmed was the youngest Emirati parachute jumper, who jumped from a great height, at a height of 13,000 feet, and she was at a young age, during the Dubai International Jumping Championship in a previous version years ago.
