"Vilkov apologized to the FTC for his behavior"

The current football season in Russia turns out to be rich in referee scandals.

One of the loudest occurred during the 11th round RPL match between Krasnodar and Rubin.

The meeting ended with the victory of the southerners with a score of 3: 1, however, the Kazan residents were unhappy with the work of Mikhail Vilkov and filed a protest demanding to replay the meeting, since the referee, in their opinion, violated the VAR protocol.

On Friday, November 6, the club's complaint was considered by the RFU Appeal Committee.

The meeting was attended by representatives of Krasnodar and Rubin, Vilkov himself, as well as the match inspector Nikolai Ivanov.

As a result, the body decided to leave the protest of Kazan citizens without attention "due to the lack of special jurisdiction of the Control and Disciplinary Committee of the Russian Football Union (FTC RFU)."

At the same time, the Appeals Committee emphasized that the Expert and Judicial Commission under the President of the RFU confirmed that in the same episode with the appointment of a penalty kick at Rubin's goal at the end of the first half, Vilkov made a mistake when deciding to retake the penalty kick after violating the Kazan player George Despotovich.

“As the commission established, this error had a direct causal connection with the receipt by the judge of information from the VAR / AVAR judges that the check on the issue of a penalty kick to the goal of FC Rubin had not yet been completed at that time,” the official website said RFU words of the chairman of the committee Vladimir Nasonkin.

The committee also stressed that they cannot apply sanctions to Vilkov, since all the actions of the referee relate exclusively to the quality of his refereeing.

It is much more curious that the referee himself, according to Nasonkin, admitted that during the meeting of the FTC RFU on October 21, according to these episodes, he lied.

Then he told the members of the Control and Disciplinary Committee that he stopped the game at the moment with a foul on Despotovich because of the incorrect drawing of the standard position by the players from Kazan, and not because he received a signal from his colleagues at VAR.

“Vilkov apologized to the FTC for his behavior at the previous meeting.

In this part, the Appeals Committee decided to appeal to the leadership of the RFU in order to consider by the competent authority the behavior of Judge Vilkov at a meeting of the relevant RFU body and to apply possible measures of influence to him, ”Nasonkin emphasized.

In "Rubin" the decision of the Appeal Committee remained satisfied, despite the refusal to consider the protest.

The club's general director Rustem Saimanov said that he wanted to draw attention to what had happened and called for sanctions to be applied to Vilkov.

“He admitted that he had cheated.

In this regard, I have a question: what about the inspector?

In his explanation, he wrote the same version as the arbiter.

I would be interested to hear his opinion, but, unfortunately, no one asked him anything ... Why is all this being done?

So that they are guided by the rules of the game and certain regulations ", - quotes Saimanov" Sport-Express ".

At the same time, the functionary stressed that in this situation he was surprised by the position of the FTC, which admitted that all Vilkov's decisions in the match between Rubin and Krasnodar were correct.

In turn, the former judge Sergei Khusainov expressed the opinion that this meeting will never be replayed.

“Firstly, the calendar is very tough.

Secondly, in modern conditions, replaying a match is an unattainable goal.

They come up with a lot of reasons not to replay the match.

Of the two evils, the lesser is chosen.

And the lesser evil is to remove the arbiter.

Who is guilty?

We'll remove the judge, let him sit, but the job is done.

The result has been achieved, "Sport-Express quotes Khusainov.

According to him, the reasons for such mistakes on the part of Russian judges lie in the low level of training and insufficient psychological stability.

At the same time, the former referee said that the removal of Vilkov would not help correct the situation.

"The Commission recognized serious errors in the actions of the arbitrator"

The scandalous episode in the match between Krasnodar and Rubin took place at the very end of the first half.

Vilkov awarded a fair penalty to the Kazan team for hitting the ball into the hand of Ilya Samoshnikov.

However, the referee pointed to the "point" only two minutes after the violation itself.

Moreover, before watching the replay, the referee managed to appoint a free kick for a foul on Djordjevic and show a yellow card to the head coach of the South, Murad Musaev.

In Rubin, Vilkov was unhappy with this decision.

According to the club, the referee violated paragraph 10 of the VAR protocol, according to which the referee cannot review if the game was stopped and resumed.

Kazan even promised to go to the Court of Arbitration for Sport in Lausanne, if necessary.

“Let me remind you that according to the VAR protocol, the referee has the right to stop the game and give a penalty kick only in the first pause after a controversial episode.

In the first episode, when a foul was committed on Despotovich, Vilkov did not.

Our team played the ball after the foul, and thus the episode was played.

However, later, realizing his mistake, the referee stopped the match again, pretended that our player had hit the rolling ball and, taking advantage of this pause, went to watch VAR and appointed a penalty, ”Saimanov quotes Sport Business Online.

However, on October 21, the FTC RFU rejected Rubin's protest.

This committee "did not establish violations of the rules of the game that could affect the outcome of the match" on the basis of Vilkov's words that in the episode with Djordjevic he "made a methodological mistake."

Later, she did not reveal any blots in the refereeing of the referee and the ESC (Expert Judicial Commission) of the RFU.

At the same time, the referee no longer received appointments for the Premier League matches and worked only at the FNL game between Orenburg and Yenisei.

And on November 5, the RFU published an analysis of the VAR system at the Krasnodar - Rubin match from the special adviser to the Union Secretary General David Elleray.

According to him, the referee made an obvious mistake by not immediately assigning a penalty to the Kazan team.

However, according to Ellerey, what happened is not a reason for a replay of the meeting.

Later, the RFU admitted that Vilkov made serious mistakes.

“Based on the report of David Ellerey, adviser to the RFU Secretary General, the commission recognized serious mistakes in the actions of the referee and violations of the rules of the game.

At the same time, they do not belong to the category of errors, due to which the results of the match may be canceled, "the RFU communications service said.
