Ryan Giggs, 46, is a legend at Manchester United and an everyday league captain for his native Wales.
Now he's in windy weather.
The Daily Mirror writes that Giggs has been arrested on suspicion of abusing his girlfriend Kate Grenville.
- Mr Giggs denies all charges.
He cooperates with the police and will provide them with everything they want in the ongoing investigation, says one of his representatives.
The Welsh Football Association also spoke briefly.
"We are aware of a suspicious situation regarding national team captain Ryan Giggs.
We do not comment on more than that at present. "
Giggs, who has been with his girlfriend for three years, would have taken out a national team squad tomorrow. That announcement is put on ice.
