Last year's SHL champion Luleå is top-tipped again this year, and has impressed during the start of the season.

But now they no longer top the series.

Today came the team's second straight loss (on Thursday it was an extra time loss against Djurgården), when Brynäs won after penalties.

Many Brynäs expulsions

The loss came despite the team dominating for large parts of the match.

Especially in the second period, when Brynäs incurred six expulsions.

But Luleå took advantage of only one of these numerical superiorities.

However, it could have been worse than it was for Luleå.

6.39 into the third period, Emil Molin made it 2-1 in numerical superiority, nicely played by Anton Rödin and Jaedon Descheneau.

But with less than a minute and a half left to play, Einar Emanuelsson, with the goalkeeper selected, took care of his own return and equalized.

Ersson was hailed

The extra time was then goalless, and Brynäs decided on penalties.

After the match, Brynäs coach Peter Andersson paid tribute to the team's goalkeeper Samuel Ersson.

- We have a lot of box play against us, and then you need a goalkeeper who steps forward.

And he does it in a fantastic way.

He steps forward and keeps us in the match, Andersson told C More.
