The Abu Dhabi Sports Council announced the postponement of the ADNOC Abu Dhabi Marathon, which was scheduled to take place on Friday, December 11, 2020, to be held on its new date in 2021, in light of the repercussions of the outbreak of the new Corona virus (Covid-19) around the world and the difficulty of leaving athletes from their countries to travel to Abu Dhabi .
The announcement of the postponement of the third edition of the event came after joint coordination between the competent government agencies and the organizers, in order to preserve the health and safety of the runners, the general participants, volunteers, fans and international delegations, which reflects the keenness of all parties to the safety and health of everyone, in order to achieve success for the World Sports Assembly.
