Determining the fate of the mass audience for the match between Bayern Munich and Atletico Madrid

Bayern Munich begins the campaign to defend its title in the European Football League against Atlético de Madrid behind closed doors, after local authorities extended the decision on Friday to ban the public attendance until October 25 at the earliest.

Atletico will be a guest at the Bavarian giants on the current 21st, in the opening round of Group A in front of empty stands at the "Allianz Arena".

This decision will affect Bayern's match against Fifth-division Dwyeren next Thursday in the German Cup, and its match against Eintracht Frankfurt in the "Bundesliga" on the 24th of this month.

With the increase in the number of new Coronavirus cases in Germany, Munich Mayor Dieter Reiter took the decision to extend the ban on mass attendance in the city.

Some German states have allowed small numbers of stadiums this season, but Munich, in the state of Bavaria, has not yet been given the green light.

The health protocol stipulates that the number of injured should be less than 35 per 100,000 people in order to allow the return of the masses to the stadiums, but the number increased from 36.45 to 42.4 in Munich today, Friday.
