  • Sébastien Corchia, the last recruit in the transfer window of Nantes, has signed a three-year contract with the club.

  • Presented at a press conference Thursday, the former defender of Le Mans, who has been greatly injured in the past, wanted to be reassuring about his state of health.

  • The right-back hopes to bring the team offensively.

"I'm ready" he assured Thursday, during his official presentation at the Beaujoire stadium.

Sébastien Corchia, FC Nantes' latest recruit, has just signed a three-year contract with the club.

Long sidelined from the lawns following several series of injuries, the former LOSC defender seeks to revive.

However, his arthroscopy of the right knee last December and the arrival of the Covid prevented him from playing for almost a year.

We must therefore reassure the supporters, and the former Sevillian says he is ready to play 100% of his capacity.

“Since my meniscus injury, I look forward.

I've been training for three months and I want to give my all on the pitch, ”he insists.

The 29-year-old, with his three-year experience at Sevilla FC (he was loaned one season to Benfica and then one year to Barcelona's Espanyol), wishes to add his personal touch to the team: “I played big matches abroad which will allow me to bring my experience on and off the field.

"

"I need to chain matches, it's in my DNA"

The native of the Paris region is impatient to start the competition and make his comeback in Ligue 1. “I immediately wanted to join Nantes,” he says.

The coach's project suits my style of play very well. I knew the fervor of the supporters and the stadium which is magnificent.

I really want to give back the trust that the club has given me.

“Selected once with the France team in 2016, Corchia will have to prove his effectiveness on the ground.

Franck Kita, Deputy Director General of the FCN, has no doubts, describing “a player with a lot of experience.

The fact that he is free, that we are looking for in this position… everything went well.

We're really delighted he's here.

"

If Sébastien Corchia recovers all of his physical capacities, he will be able to bring the excess offensively and weigh on the attack.

“I'm used to playing on the right and rather high, but it's the coach who will decide, describes the side.

Even though my main role remains to defend, I hope to bring something to the team offensively.
