October 17-18 is the season premiere for the Alpine World Cup.

As tradition dictates, it is the giant slalom in Sölden that is first out.

Five ladies get the chance in the premiere where Sara Hector and Estelle Alphand are the given names.

- Sara rides well, Estelle has been up and down a bit, but is completely on the right track, says women manager Christian Thoma in a press release.

Jonna Luthman, Sara Rask and Hanna Aronsson Elfman are those from training group two who are also in the squad.

Where Rask and Aronsson Elfman take on the tough hang in Sölden for the first time.

- We should not have too high demands, they are there to acquire knowledge for the future, says Thoma.

Jakobsen alone sir

On the men's side, it is Kristoffer Jakobsen who runs the premiere and he has put a lot of focus on giant slalom during the pre-season.

- We should probably not expect any top ten placements from him, but he runs a setup with more giant slalom, which we think will also benefit his slalom skiing, says Mr. Fredrik Kingstad in a press release.

Mattias Rönngren is on the injury list.
