The new president of the Handball Federation, Nabil Ashour, affirmed that the coaches sector and national teams in all their Sunni stages tops the Federation's priorities in its election cycle between 2020 and 2024, within a schedule full of tasks, and focuses on continuing to develop the national component and upgrading the game.

Ashour said in a press statement, "The new union will continue, in the footsteps of its predecessor, to develop and upgrade the level of the game, especially since the last session witnessed an increase in the number of clubs, provided that the new electoral cycle will focus on the coaches and teams sector at all ages, so that players are built." And teams on sound foundations support the first team ».

He explained that “the increase in the number of clubs during the past years has had a positive impact in terms of increasing competitive strength, and we must reap the fruits of these benefits in the best way that serves the national teams by working to develop the coaches sector, not only at the level of the first team, but also at all age stages. ».

He added: “When we have a strong league that is not limited to two or more teams, we can provide the human element required to support the teams in terms of quantity and gender together, hence the importance of continuing to develop the coaches sector in general, and the citizens among them in particular,” referring to the importance of work. With the clubs to increase the presence of the national coach in all teams, because of the ambitious project that the federation places in its agenda to benefit from all available expertise, especially since the majority of clubs depend on advanced schools at the level of the game, whether Arab or African.

Ashour explained that the coming period will witness the determination of the fate of the first team coach, but he stressed at the same time the importance of working side by side on all Sunni stages, and said: “Looking at the first team, which was close at the end of last year to repeat the achievement of 2015 and reach the World Cup finals. We find that the reconstruction rate of our players is relatively high, and therefore one of our first strategies in the new federation is to focus on the age group sector, especially the junior stage, because of its importance in building a strong team, and in order for the process to proceed in the correct manner, strict standards must be set regarding contracting mechanisms. He concluded: "Several elements will be focused on in the new electoral cycle, as part of the rebuilding strategy, including the continuation of work on the (small government) project aimed at expanding the base of the game’s rulers, especially among the citizens.
