Mesut Özil may not be as silky as in the days of his splendor, but in terms of humor everything is fine.

In the midst of the controversy over the dismissal of around fifty employees of the Arsenal club because of the coronavirus pandemic, including the club mascot Gunnersaurus, the German striker (whose presence in north London was almost forgotten) tweeted to save Denver's brother the last dinosaur.

I was so sad that Jerry Quy aka our famous & loyal mascot @Gunnersaurus and integral part of our club was being made redundant after 27 years.

As such, I'm offering to reimburse @Arsenal with the full salary of our big green guy as long as I will be an Arsenal player ... pic.twitter.com/IfWN38x62z

“I was so sad that Jerry Quy, aka our famous and loyal Gunnersaurus mascot and an integral part of our club, was fired after twenty-seven years.

As such, I propose to reimburse Arsenal by paying the full salary of our great green man as long as I am an Arsenal player (…) so that Jerry will be able to continue his job which he loves so much ”, wrote the 'attacker disappeared from radar for a while.

This is enough to regain some points in the hearts of Arsenal fans, who had not appreciated at all to see their twenty-seven-year-old mascot go unemployed.
