It was while waiting for a Tottenham corner that Erik Lamela collapsed in Manchester United's penalty area.

Referee Anthony Taylor came quickly and showed the red card to Manchester's Anthony Martial who had to leave the pitch.

But the question is whether Erik Lamela should not have been allowed to go the same way to meetings.

"Must show Lamela"

At least that is what Viasat's expert commentator Glenn Strömberg thought when the TV pictures showed the situation again.

The pictures show how Erik Lamela pushes his arm up in Martial's face who then chooses to give back with his hand in his face.

- If he (judge Anthony Taylor) takes out Martial where he has to show Erik Lamela for that elbow as well, says expert commentator Strömberg in Viasat's broadcast.

The situation was VAR-checked but the decision with a red card on Anthony Martial remained while Erik Lamela was awarded a yellow card.

Dream start turned into a nightmare

The red card was not positive news for a Manchester team that seemed to have big problems already.

Despite a dream start - where Martial fixed a penalty - after 30 seconds and 1-0, they had managed to neglect the lead and ended up at a disadvantage in just a few minutes.

The first half's nightmare then continued for United.

First, center-back Eric Bailly gave the ball away in his own penalty area, which Kane used to make it 3-1 and then Heung-min Son extended it to 4-1 after a cool finish.

For United, it is also a half that ends up in the history books as it is the first time in 30 years that the team has conceded four goals in a half.

Victor Nilsson Lindelöf did not play from the start.
